Born on This Day in 1928: Stanley Kubrick

 

Kubrick was perhaps the most influential and innovative American filmmaker of the 20th Century. My all-time favorite Kubrick film is Barry Lyndon, which was shot completely without benefit of electrical lighting of any kind. Amazing. Of course, one cannot forget, Clockwork Orange, Lolita and Dr. Strangelove, but there were more… many more.
